Certified GMP International Manufacture
The quality control maintained by Plum Flower lies partly in the choice of exceptional production centers used by the manufacturer of our products.
All of the manufacturers we buy from at Sinolux are guaranteed by the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) label issued by the Australian Department for Therapeutic Products. GMP certification means that the site and the methods used to produce the herbs are subject to full quality control and certified as meeting the requisite criteria.
Australian quality standards are amongst the highest in the world and herb production in Australia is subject to the same directives as apply to pharmaceutical substances.
Standards vary between countries, and in Australia the certification process covers all phases. Everything, from the crops in the field, the buildings, the equipment, the workforce and its qualifications, health and hygiene, air and water quality, through to training and sterilisation, are inspected.
All of the manufacturers our products come from have obtained the GMP label, and are among the best not only in China but in the world.
Quality Control Criteria
Each of the international GMP certified sites producing Plum Flower products has its own laboratory. These labs carry out the different analyses required for Quality Control purposes.
Each batch of herbs is tested before, during and after preparation. Chemical analyses such as TLC (thin layer chromatography) and HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) are used to test the potential capacity of the plant’s active substances.
The results of tests to detect heavy metals and microbiological contamination are attached to each batch.
The standards imposed by Plum Flower are stricter than those required by the US Food and Drug Administration.
Following these in-house analyses, a representative sample of each batch is sent to different outside labs for additional expert opinion and to ensure that the purity criteria have been met.
When the products arrive in the USA, they are inspected a second time by the Food and Drug Administration. This department provides a final guarantee that Plum Flower products are fully compliant with all safety and quality standards.
